Overview

Why are hospital projects different?

Hospitals run 24/7 and put infection control and patient safety first. Operating theatres, intensive care units and cleanrooms need specific pressure, filtration and air-change criteria, while the electrical system must be designed with redundant power and uninterruptible supply.

That is why structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines have to work together from the earliest stage. Since 1995 we have provided engineering services for many healthcare facilities in Türkiye and abroad, coordinating every discipline from our office in Ataşehir, Istanbul.

  • Mechanical design for operating theatres, ICUs and cleanrooms
  • Uninterrupted power with redundant supply, UPS and generators
  • Clash detection across disciplines with Revit and Navisworks
  • Seismic safety and structural design for heavy medical equipment

Scope of services

What we design for healthcare buildings

Mechanical (MEP)

For a comfortable, hygienic indoor environment.

  • HVAC for operating theatres and ICUs, HEPA filtration
  • Pressure cascades and cleanroom ventilation
  • Medical gas, plumbing and fire suppression

Electrical

For safe, uninterrupted power.

  • Redundant supply, UPS and generator systems
  • Power and low-current systems, nurse call and security
  • Lighting design and energy efficiency

Structural & BIM

For a safe structure and a coordinated project.

  • Reinforced concrete and steel structures, seismic analysis
  • Retrofitting of existing hospital buildings
  • Revit modelling and clash detection

Deliverables

  • Structural, electrical and mechanical calculation reports
  • Construction and detail drawings
  • Technical specifications and bills of quantities
  • Coordinated BIM/Revit model

Our process

Our process, step by step

  1. 01

    Brief

Bed count, departments and medical requirements are defined with the client.

  2. 02

    Concept

Structural, power and HVAC concepts are developed together.

  3. 03

    Design

Heat-load, electrical-load and structural calculations; systems are sized.

  4. 04

    BIM coordination

All disciplines are merged into one model and clashes are solved before site.

  5. 05

    Delivery

Reports, construction drawings, specifications and quantities are delivered.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What matters most in hospital mechanical design?

Air-change rates, pressure differentials, filtration class, temperature and humidity are set according to the relevant standards for operating theatres and ICUs. Medical gas, fire protection and plumbing systems are designed alongside these criteria.

How is the electrical system of a hospital designed?

Critical areas get redundant supply: mains, generators and UPS systems are designed to work together, with safe distribution for interruption-sensitive medical equipment.

Do you carry out energy-efficiency projects in existing hospitals?

Yes. We have provided engineering services for energy-efficiency works at Bağcılar, Başakşehir and Pendik state hospitals, assessing existing systems and preparing improvement options.

Do you work on hospital projects abroad?

Yes. We have worked on international healthcare projects such as AUIB Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, delivered from our Istanbul office.

How can I request a proposal?
